Question:

What is a stag in harry potter?

when i was reading harry potter books i came up with a word that i wasnt sure what it meant. its kinda retarded but yeah...i was readin harry potter and the order of the phoenix and there were talking on how harry's patronous forms in a shape of a stag ... im not sure what it really means..an you help me?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: What everybody else said, it's a large male deer (also known as a buck) with antler's , And that's the form the Harry's patronous took, because it's powerful, strong, and fearless just like Harry. Hope This helped! Can't wait for The 7th book!!

p.s. You can also see the stag in the 4th movie, because Harry uses a patronous to fight off the dementor's from Sirius.
