Question:

Describe life in Russia under Joseph Stalin in the 1920s and 1930s?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It was a very frightening time. Many people were forced to leave their homes and lands and move somewhere where they had no way to live. Many starved. Anyone with education, who had travelled abroad, who was religious, a member of an ethnic minority, was an intellectual, and many other categories was suspect. Thousands of people were frightened into spying on their neighbors, friends and families. People were denounced to settle old scores, to steal their property or just to deflect suspicion from themselves. Twenty million people were murdered.
