Why would God the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, ever want to create the Universe and put life in it?

My logic questions.....
With all that power, presence and knowledge, how is it possible to have any wish, will or purpose? There would be no serious purpose pending nor the frivolity to indulge in games or pastime!!
