Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat...?

I am auditioning, very soon, for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I know little of this show, but have listened to the music and really love it! I would LOVE to be cast as the narrator, because I am a soprano. But, I know the director and he is not fond of me. What can I do to really "wow" him in the audition? How can I prepare? What songs do you think they would use as an audition piece? (They decide for us). If I am not cast as the narrator, what other good parts could I be excited to get? What else can you tell me about this show? Thanks so much! :-)

I do indeed love to act...but I think that I might be a stronger singer... however, I am open to any acting or singing suggested roles. Thanks again!
