Question:

Reverse metabolism?

Imagine the effects of the ageing process being reversed. Mid teens to 30 would have the aches and slowed metabolism of people that are now in their senior citizen years. Then as you grow older you start to feel the effects of being younger. Someone 75 would have the feeling of youth and vigor of a 20 yr old. I know it sounds crazy, but what effect would it have on the dread of "old age"? How do you think we would look at the elderly then?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: In that case is death and birth also flip flopped

Birth is a miraculous thing, while death is a menacing shadow on the horizon.

However, if your question is interpretted literally then I think your question would generally be the obvious, "Older people would be happier about getting older and younger would be even more eager to grow-up." As I have not experienced any surplus aging in my life, I cannot accurately say, but I think some of the depression that comes with old age is simply lack of intrest. People may become disinterested with life, but also fear that menacing shadow on the edge.
