Publishing is hard!!!?

Its so hard just finding a legitimate place to submitt your work to! especially if you have a short story. Just finding someone to take a look. Does it frustrate anyone else?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Ask the author of Gone With the Wind. She was rejected 50 times. Ask James Patterson. I believe he was rejected over 70. Of course it's hard. Agents and editors read literally hundreds of thousands of books each year - most of them from people who think they are the next Shakespeare and can't write for beans. If it wasn't hard, every one of them would be published. Thank God it is hard. Pax -C

That's why places like Lulu are making money - they will publish literally ANYTHING - no questions asked.
