Advice and Tips on poetry, Please?

I am struggling to write a poem and need some advice please, any information will be much appreciated.

I want to write something from the heart, but am struggling.

Don't know where or how to start and have been trying all night.

Does a poem have to rhyme on the next line or can it be a couple of lines down?
