Sarah, Sarah
May I give thee a rose?
For it's true meaning,
Only you shall know...

A purpose divine,
A true intent
Thorned upon
Words unspent...

For roses die
In time if untrue--
What becomes
Of my roses for you?

Sweet, so sweet
Roses once smelled
A fragrance denied,
Living hell.

Day by day
Petals apart
Into the wind
I shall depart...

For reasons known
But yet denied
Please understand, that with ths rose,
I TRIED.
