Question:Why does the last leaf on a tree in the fall represent lonliness to you?

I think it's because:
1) It's the only leaf left
2) Since it's the only leaf left it leaves a feeling of bareness.

why do you think it represents lonliness (of do you think it represents something else?)

*btw, sorry, I didn't know what gatagory to put this under.

To me it represents the final collapse of the old order of things and a new hope on the horizon. The tree does not die but eventually grows new fresh leaves. So I look at the brighter side of future hope not the gloom of the present.

I believe the last leaf on a tree in the fall represents change.
The tree is going from one state of being, freshness and glory of the summer, to slowly sleeping in the fall, to the deadly sleep of winter.
