I need some help with movie scripts. is there a website i can go to to access information about specific years

for example if im setting a script in 1983 can i go to a site that will tell me what news, events and music etc was out then.

its not shallowness its early dementia, i was around at that time and have many happy memories but i just cant quite put them in order, if i could go somewhere that would give me an idea of what was around i could put the memories back into place.

It's almost impossible to get the feel of a particular year unless you were there. What you write will be seen by people who were there, and if you've only got bits of information from websites or newspapers, these people will spot the shallowness of your setting.

Choose a time you know about, and base it on what you remember.
