Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I LOVE Lord of the Rings, too. Lately The Silmarillion has been fascinating me as well.

Since your into LotR, you'd also probably like Norse mythology. You know, Thor and Loki and all that. LotR is greatly influenced by it. omg, love the battle scene in the third one! get a life! No It is my favorite subject as well as my favorite trilogy of ALL TIME. What a great job by Tolkien as well as Peter Jackson for putting the ideas from paper to the big screen. I figured after reading all 3 novels, that you would need at least 20 hours of movie time to depict the story, but he pretty much did it in 11-12 (the extended versions of the movie). Yea, there was some things left out, but if 12 hours was his limit, he used all that time as efficiently as he possibly could. Each movie was as equally as interesting, unlike other trilogys' where one or two might have been good and the others wern't. So hats off to all the LOTR crew. sorry but i dont speak nerd...
