Question:

Am i a geek?

My favorite show is Hannah Montana,I like Christian music. I love Disney Channel, And i am that kind of person who laughes when someone says pudding. Am i a geek because of these things?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: a geek ? no i dont think so. It sounds like you are just being true to yourself and thats the most important thing , your not following a crowd. Do what makes you happy. lol...pudding If you like.

Do whatever you want and don't give a shite what anybody else thinks of you or wants to call you. Nope...I like all that too and I think I'm the coolest person in the world!!!! ha ha! no! i have a friend that i can make laugh like that! she's my best friend and i love her to death. its great that u like Christian music! dont listen to the losers that say ur a geek!

:D lol I think that you are a perfectly normal girl:-)

P.S. I like christian music too:-) Everyone these days feels they have to categorize everyone, usually at first appearance. There is so much more depth than that to any living being. u dont know what u r? L0L
IDK your NOT a geek because of the things you like. But you ARE a geek, because you had to come here and ask the question to find out. what I want to know is....WHO CARES? I mean that in a good way. If you live your life by your standards and enjoy who you are and you are classified by the world at large as a geek. Then say loud and say it proud-"GEEKS RULE". I myself tend to go the white an dnerdy route. I proudly sit to watch Disney channel with my kids. (nickelodoen too. I?DRAKE AND JOSH). Switchfoot, Toby Mac, and Todd Agnew rock my world daily, and I crack up at odd moments constantly.

I've always been this way and always will be. Personally I plan on being the neighborhood crazy lady that throws shoes at people. yeah, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. are you happy? that's what counts. be yourself! as opposed to what?

-Some 40 year old construction worker who never went to college but can rattle off stats of every single player as well as useless trivia concerning the football team of the college that he would have gone too?

-Or maybe that woodsman type who covers himself in deer urine, has 500$ in camouflage, makes his own ammo, and knows exactly what time of day the bucks come out, and exactly what days are the best for hunting

-How about that body-builder who spends 6+ hours in the gym everyday, knows exactly what exercise will work his Latissimus Dorsi, Trapezoids, and pectoralis. He knows what each of the 12 power drinks he drinks in a day does, has posters of Arnold Schwarzenegger in his room, and think its perfectly normal for a man to shave his body, put on a thong, cover his body in tanning solution (which gives his skin a nice orange glow), and show off his gluteus maximus to a crowd of people.

We're all geeks, dear. Just different types of geeks. Your best bet is to be yourself and damn the haters. My dear I too like Christian music and Disney movies , but that doesn't make either of us a "geek" .It means that we prefer to live a wholesome life style that sadly seems to enjoy tainted music and movies.

And I'm 46 You may be a lot of things, my young friend, but from your description, 'geek' is not one of them.

I'm a life-long, card-carrying, computer-fixing, gadget-collecting, D&D-playing, 'Star Trek' convention-going, comic book-collecting, 'Monty Python'-quoting, Klingon-speaking, video gaming, swing dancing, Ren faire-attending, black eyeliner-wearing, fantasy novel-writing GEEK. I write jokes in Hex code, shop at ThinkGeek.com, and agonized over the correct punctuation in my previous sentence. Because I'm PROUD of doing all of these things, I consider myself a geek.

Now, there's an argument that an interest in anything counter-cultural (for lack of a better term) makes one a geek; again, the things you listed as interests strike me as very, well, mainstream.

But then, I'm an old school geek. :-) Maybe it depends how old you are. If you are over 25 years old, "yes", if you are close to that age it time to get serious.
