Question:

I need help on what chemical is in ultraviolet detection beads(when exposed to uv radiation)?

The plastic beads have a harmless chemical in them that change colours when exposed to ultraviolet radiation. I need to know what that chemical is on the beads

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

They will not divulge what chemical is on the beads.
They have stated that it is a pigment within the beads.
read below;
"The beads are ultraviolet detection beads and they are specially made to change color in the presence of ultraviolet radiation."
"These beads contain different pigments that change color when exposed to ultraviolet light from any source – including the sun. The beads are all white in visible light. In UV light, depending on the pigment added to each bead, you will see different colors. Each bead will change color about 50,000 times before the pigment will no longer respond to UV light."
