I want to make a collage and my topic is immigration. What things should i use and should i make it on a poster board, etc?

hmm, I might include a bit re: Ellis Island, but I would definitely focus on more recent elements, lol! I mean, immigration is still an important topic today!
Can you find online copies of immigration applications, tests, etc.? Maybe you could include pieces of that, or lines/questions that strike you as especially interesting?
Are there quotes or stories of immigrants you can find/use?
How about randomly pasting names of famous immigrants?
Of course you'll need more graphics than text, so...hm....

Although I'm not sure what the slant/point of your collage is--a celebration of immigration? Or an examination of all the complexities/controversies and problems surrounding immigration? The purpose of the collage would obviously affect what you choose to include.
