However,over the past century there has been a decline in the quality of prize-winnig artwork and it is now possible for quite ordinary pieces of art to be labelled 'masterpieces' whislt true works of at pass unnoticed. a work of art, in my opinion, can be anything that is art. but a masterpiece, that is whole other story- i do agree with you in that aspect. reason being? i have seen true masterpieces, and so called ones that look like something my 4 year old son has created, (well i guess if you look at it that way all his artworks are masterpieces) i don't know maybe a masterpiece should only be the best piece of artwork that any one single artist creates. you make me think to hard. ouch |
