Question:

Does Australia effort in E Timor run the risk of morphing into tomfoolery ?

Are the minutiae of what Australia is actually doing in East Timor, what was originally intended?
Wouldn??t any Australians involved need to have been hand-picked so as not to be compliant with political manoeuvring ?

If resistance to any political manoeuvring hasn??t been built-in up-front, won??t there likely be Australians in East Timor rushing around earning brown-nose points (If anyone questions what they are doing they can say "we're following the written policy to play a leading and possibly open-ended role in ensuring political stability??) ?

Don??t the leaders who initiated involvement of Australia become unwitting "front men" for activities the leaders would never countenance ?

??[[There is, " ??a danger inherent in all secretive societies for their cellular form devised by the founders for the security of the movement, can as readily be used to 'hoodwink' the leadership, who thus become unwitting 'front men ' for activities they would never countenance."

I'm sure the original intent was not a Rambo operation.

In "Rambo", Rambo had to kill or be killed. There's no suggestion that Australia has to do this. A Rambo operation was not the original intent.

If it hasn't morphed into a Rambo operation, why are they looking for Alfredo Reinado ?
(particularly peculiar to be trying to arrest Reinado because President of PMD, Hermenegildo Kupa and MP Leandro Isac proposed for Major Alfredo Reinado for candidate for president. According to Kupa and Isac, Alfredo is the right candidate for the position of President due to his neutrality, the efforts to raise the national unity and defend the people who had been affected by the transgressors. MP Leandro Isac said if Alfredo accepts his proposal, he and his group are prepared to work to obtain supporters for him.

PM Ramos-Horta proposed for F-FDTL Brigadier General Taur Matan Ruak??s to be the candidate for next presidential election.

Peculiar that Ramos-Horta, who nominated someone else for president, wants Reinado arrested.)

Surely it wasn't Australia's leaders' original intent to become involved in this sort of tomfoolery.
