I just wrote a poem check it out . Its called , Mother River Red?

I just posted this on my 360 I thought I'd give answers a look.

This River Red Gum has towered above me all my life.Just to pass her, fills my mind with memories of times and, people gone by, this poem is deicated to her.

Tapped into the bowls of the earth

She stood with awe

Dignity and mirth

Her children spread, from hill, to range,

Sheltering their children,

From the elements of change.

If a bolt of lightening

Hit the grass, and a blazing inferno,

Should come, to pass

She would not die of the radiant heat,

Yet sprout new life

And, spawn more children,

At her roots and, feet.

If you strike, her opaque bark skin

With axe or saw, you??ll do her in.

Or deprive her of children, by cutting them down.

She??ll silently weep golden tears,

That blood stains the ground.

She shelters the wilderness, from the hot suns rays

She has stood for a billion and fifty days.

Her prize is her timber, a blood red wood.

It fetches a dollar, and it looks real good

The price is our water that sustains life on earth.

If you take her from the ground, that??s what she??s worth.
