Question:

How will the world overpopulation issue be solved? Where is the human civilization going toward?

We will solve it (either the Klauzeritz or China way on global level) or will nature "interfere"? Our intelligence is decreasing while our average mass is increasing - where is that leading? Does the human civilization only learn on bad mistakes; is obtaining and playing wildly with God's toys before learning to use them, part of our nature (Chernobyl, genetic engineering taboo, immature usage of fossil fuels, prohibitions on individual freedom of choice, depletion and contamination, etc)?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

Nature will take its course. The size and growth of the human population is not sustainable, and sooner or later there will be some sort of natural event (i.e. an influenza pandemic) which will knock the population back a bit.

Either that, or we will eventually just begin running out of resources, will have food and water shortages and the toxins and rubbish will begin to build up.
