Question about Interview With The Vampire?

i have not read the books so i don't know the answer to this. in the end of the movie Lestat bites the interviewer and gives him the choice to die or become a vampire. In the books I wanted to know if the story goes on about this... what happened to the interviewer? Is it mentioned?

If you read The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned which are the continuations of Interview with a Vampire, you will find out exactly where Daniel ends up and I think you will be quite surprised and pleased.. It gets really good in those two books, but as someone else said, it becomes pretty hokey after that.

And please do not watch the movie "Queen of the Damned" it is totally ridiculous and messes up everything that was GREAT about the books. Although I love Aaliyah, the movie was not a good one.
