Question:

How would I write a story online with a friend who lives far away?

we would like to both have access to "our book" and be able to see and add to what the other has written... we IM and email like crazy now and it's fun, but I want to actually write the book. any ideas? cristinereidy@yahoo.com

Hey cristine,
Try Webex by At&t. My company has their own version of this, essentially you Call on the phone, and both log into a Web meeting. Then one of you shows your desktop to the Web Conference, and now you are thinking as one, instantly. With a phone package for All Distance (one fee as many minutes as you need on a land line), you just need to pay for the Web Conferencing. I never priced it personally - would be interested in your results.

Also, there is a Feature of XP called Remote Assistance, where you can invite a friend to control your computer - you could leverage that to work with someone. Find that in the START --> Programs --> Accessories menu of XP.
