How do i find an illustrator for the cover of my first novel?

i want something unique, like anime but more real-human. a beautiful woman with a sword. behind her a large red moon.

Unless you're publishing this novel yourself (or paying to have it done), you most likely won't be selecting an artist for the cover. The publisher will do that, because the publishing house will have a house standard that they use for their various publishing lines. Chances are good that you'll have little or no say in what the cover looks like anyway.

If this is a self-published or pay-for-publication book, then just get a friend to do it. Bookstores won't carry it anyway, so your sales will be next to nothing.
