If this plate is so rare. who do I see about selling it?

this is for the 1900's plate that I have in my home. who do I see about selling it to ? would an auction do? or what?

I would do some serious research, starting with Kovels.com, be sure of what you have, and either determine for yourself what you feel it is worth (through diligent research) or get a professional appraisal (possibly someone recommended through someone reputable like Kovels). Then, you should feel comfortable about what you can expect to get for your plate or at least be pretty sure you will get a fair price. Auctions are always a gamble unless you put a reserve on it (this will insure that it will sell for your minimum price, or not at all - but remember, auctioneers will charge a fee to sell it). Sometime antique dealers online will buy articles outright - again, start at Kovels, they really have a lot of info to start digging from!
