Is Ambition Worth it?

I'm working on an international art project called The Book of Conversations. A hundred people have each been given a different question to reply to in a visual/verbal way. The responses will be collected and published. The question I've been given is the one above and I'd be interested in what people have to say. Thanks.

the question assumes ambition is negative. but it would be a bit naive to assume all ambition is detrimental. if the project is called a book of conversations, i'd like to think that there's some other perspective other than the negative connotation the word implies.

i mean really, aren't there people out there that suffer, sweat and bleed for something they believe in? sometimes when we don't like the results of their efforts, we call it ambition. when we love the outcome, we call it heroism.
