Aren't there too many close-ups ?

what's with all the close-ups of people's faces and heads during interviews on camera and also in film and other media.?
i don't need to see the very pores in the PMs cheeks on the news
let's pull back and get the whole picture , at least once in a while..

what about fashion show footage where the camera spend more time on the model's face than on the clothing...?

I totally agree. That happens so often! Even in movies! I'm like, argh, I want to see where they're standing!
