I want to get an invention idea off the ground,any advice or help?

first please do not tell me to go to invention submission places, have tried those and they are not where it is at,
please, this is a simple idea, it does not take much, some simple materials and a bit of skill, now what i am asking is, is there anyone who will do this for me, for free, well not free, but put it together and even get it to market, of couse we split, how about 15 percent, and i Mark v get eighty five percent, anyone interested, it only takes a few hours, purchase the material,and put it together and put a little glue here and there, i say this figurativly,and there it is, a brand new what cha macall it did i make any sense, be in nyc, but anywhere there is someone interested, would be fine, i just cannot get around to get the materials, and put it together, not much to ask and if it is successful, but you got to be trustworthy and honest

Hi Mark,

First make sure that you get a Non-disclosure agreement with anyone you talk to about it, before you give it away for free. If it is a completely novel and innovative idea it may be worth quite a bit. That being said; if there is already something like it you may be infringing on someone else's patent. It costs quite a bit to get patent search done and to patent a new invention - unless you do almost all the work yourself, which is not really practical. Your best bet is to call up a patent attorney or two preferably in Virginia and ask them what it will typically cost to have them handle it. When you need to set a broken arm you go to a doctor don't you? So get a specialist to deal with this - someone who's career and reputation is based on handling these kinds of things. Asking on Yahoo Answers is a good way to get someone to take advantage of your idea and cut you out of the deal...
