A friend told me that there is a lot of racism and discrimination in the arts. So, then, why are artists not open minded to other people of gender and race?

What do some artists think they are superior to others?

Everything is art. Potentially at least. Is there really an objective line between what is art and what isn't? How can you say between van gogh and and rembrandt which one is better? Of course it all depends on the curator's particular perspective...which is absolutely subjective anyway...
