The man is a bat
he has wings
and flies high
The lady is a bat
she has no wings
and does not fly
The sun is the gun, and
the moon is the sun
and she swimming
truth is the trees
swaying as if to a tune
and he dances along

Nathan, I appreciate that you have taken some time to think about this poem.. that's what my poetry is about.. I hate writing juvenile poems that rhyme....
I don't usually do this, because I believe that a poem means whatever is means to the reader... but since you are confused about it... I will say this... and maybe it will help to clarify the meaning..
this poem is about domestic abuse...

As usual, you have an amazing way of capturing the reader, and of course you have not disappointed me.
This poem although written in very simple text, brings something much deeper. You should really consider entering poetry contests.. I think you have a great chance of winning.
