Another poem, what do you think?
The day deepens
And he finds himself alone.
There is no peace here.
His thoughts are no comfort.
How much longer?
How much more?
The past floods him,
Things he cannot sort out.
He looks outward, desperate for distraction
Anything to keep him here and now.
Panic threatens; confusion;
It is too much.
He looks up,
Wanting to be anywhere
Anywhere at all but here.
Something breaks softly inside.
The moment is over.
He turns, finding comfort
In the sleep coming for him.
He sinks into its peace.

Personally I think this piece has great expression. Poetry in any form is a way of releasing emotion and expressing ones soul and I think you have done a great job here. Hope to see more of your pieces.
