Question:
Is this poem any good?
I wrote this poem and have to recite it in front of my English class. I don't think it is any good. Should I just scrap it and try again?
Each week I dread going to town-
For fear it might happen again--
If not for food to keep me live-
I would stay in my home all day long-
When I walk they whisper-
When I talk they stutter-
Like I am something weird to them-
Each week I dread going to town-
For fear it might happen again--
I dress just like they-
I walk like they walk-
And yet they are so cruel-
Sometimes I feel like dying-
But theres nothing I can do-
Each week I dread going to town-
For fear it might happen again--
If not for food to keep me live---
Well--- then again--
I act like they, but I am not-
Would they notice if I were late?-
I raise the barrel to my head and pull the trigger of fate-

This is a great piece! Such emotional expression. If this is your soul speaking, maybe you need to talk to someone. I hope to see more of your pieces.
