Sure. Just the same as with the first step of treating alcholoism, you have to deal with the fact that you have a problem. After that, you can seek to remedy it. The problems of character we face will only haunt us if we do not seek to fix them. At least you have the strength of perception to notice a weakness inside yourself. Now you have to find out if you have the fortitude to better your situation.
