I wonder if almost all of us die of
pesticides. Future historians will
walk through empty New York or
empty Atlanta or another silent
post-cosmo vacuum, and see
grafitti or other signs of modern man.

Maybe, but I find it far more likely that the code used in text messaging (LOL, I nd 2 c u etc.) has a better chance of becoming an arcane language of symbology.

You can normally read graffiti as it is written on the wall, and the pictures depicted are often works of art, rather than cryptic images. I think in the future the work of some graffiti artists will be compared to that of Monet, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Andy Warhole, and Peter Max.
