Make your pics black and white and then color only a section?

The only way I know is with photoshop. Here's what you do:

1) Make a duplicate layer of the original image.

2) Desaturate the upper layer by using Image>Adjustment>Desaturate.

3) Add a layer mask to the upper layer.

4) With your layer mask active, select the area you wish to have in color.

5) Fill your selection with black. This masks out your selection on the b&w layer so that the color layer shows through.
