How can I find out how much of my money actually goes to the "Cause" as opposed to "Administrative Costs?" Especially to third world countries?

You can ask the organization for a breakdown of how they distribute the donations. it's required by law that if you ask they have to tell you.

Also, if the organization has a web page you can look on there and they might have fine print somewhere that would tell you.
