How to get involve in Volunteer work?

I am interested in doing volunteer work espeacially in Malaysia. but i don't know where to start. I am a student and i don't have my own income. is there a volunteer group that i can join?

Trying going to your school's volunteering center.... like service learning..... Also try the net and look for affiliates in your area.
