If you live in a small town, what would you do to make it a more fun/enjoyable/better place to live?

I don't know what you consider "small". I live in a small town. I stay away from gossip, always say hello (especially to those, who don't like me because it makes them more angry) and I am very involved in community affairs by volunteer work, serving as a board member to county related happenings etc. etc. etc. It is a good life if you want it to be. It is a great place to raise a child.
