Question:

Do you like my poem?

THE HIGHWAY

The highway touches infinite dreams,
nightmares, catastrophes, tears, quiet
solitutdes and keeps all its secrets.
All roads head in one direction--
Turn right on Brinkerhoff Ave and you're
going to Chicago. Do a U Turn at Alliston
Place and you're going to California with
a stone in your heart. Head south on I-95
and you'll eventually end up in Reno
badly in need of a change of pants. The gas
and beds and bucolic scenery, skylines
rest areas, slanting roofs that look off
in a direction...Americana...it never seemed so big,
so small

Highway
take me to the shoreline
where tomorrow never comes.

I love the way you've used the metaphor of a highway, but I have a suggestion:
You already make it apparent that you're talking about the high way of life, but I think that you should change 'Turn right on Brinkerhoff Ave and you're
going to Chicago. Do a U Turn at Alliston
Place and you're going to California with
a stone in your heart.' and change 'Brinkerhoff ave', 'chicago' and Alliston Place' and 'california' with milestones. It'll make the poem more meaningful.
