Why Filipinos are not well represented in holywood movies?being a large ethnic community in the US.?

Well, I've concluded that the only reason that Latinos are getting so much more representation as of late is because so many of us are living in California. But I notice that this is displacing the representation that the entertainment industry once gave to the black community when things seemed to be "getting better".

For the most part, however, I think it has a lot to do with demographics and buying power. American media has a bad habit of thinking that if you're poor, you don't exist. Most of the Filipino's, Koreans, Native Americans that I've met live either in poverty or are in the middle class, but rarely upper middle or upper class. Entertainment seems to think that if you can't by a lexus or a condo, then you won't pay for cable, CD's or a movie ticket either. Funny how that works.
