How does peer pressure connect to nature?

Example: salmon swimming upstream to bring new lives, signifies people going against the current/flow, the peer pressure.
Any others?

I'd say that peer pressure is an evolutionary offshoot of trying to blend with the herd. It's a well know fact that predators will pick out any animal that different from the rest. Animals will often not accept one of the same species that is too different from the norm for that reason. Also, a species behavior has been determined by generations of adapting to the environment, so any deviant behavior could put the group in danger. As humans, we are among the elite in the animal world in that we can decide intellectually how to react instead of just on an instinctual level.
