Ear gauging question ( Preferably for those who have gauged ears themselves)?

My left ear is pretty thin, and I noticed at 5/8. That was 6 months ago and i took the jewlry out and its shrunk but the lobe is still very think and i have tried Vitamin E oil massages but no avail. Are there any other non surgical ways to thicken it? I would really appreciate it.
