money stands for power. money is just pieces of paper or metal. what is the real value of money, (if any) and how to calculate it?

once ppl used barter to exchange goods when specialisations started. one man making corn would exchange these for shoes , with a shoemaker...but then problems of valuation came about.
notes and coins were introduced to represent a value., to create a medium of exchange.
all i see now is money losing its value!
