What should I do?

Well about a year and a half ago they put an additon on our house so they had to dig up a hill in our yard. After it was all dug up they put all the dirt in another part of the yard to take away later. I happened to find a broken piece of a clay plate in the dirt. It looks like it might be a native american clay plate and it might be pretty old since it was probably buried pretty deep in the hill. The only thing i wonder about is that it is glazed and i don't know if they could do that back then. Anyway I don't know if it might be worth some money and I don't know where I should take it. Natural history museum? WHat do you think ???
