Question:

What, if any are the differences between music and art?

What do you all think the differences between music and fine / sonic art are? Why do you think that?
That is if you think there are any differences at all.

I mean sound (sonic) art, not ;painting' / visual art.

When you listen to a piece of sonic art, and a piece of music, is there a difference in the way you feel? Are there differences between the way you create sonic art and the way you create music?

Definitions are a bit vague here, but I think I understand that sonic art is more like pure sound and rhythm without a desire to communicate a feeling or idea, unlike our Western idea of music. Listen to some classical Raj (Indian) music. Much of that falls rather squarely between the two concepts.
