Very rarely. Usually I don't measure up to my own expectations. But once in a while I exceed them...

Some examples:

I bought a house by myself in a new community. Scary! But I survived and I love my house! I still can't believe it's mine. I never would have imagined I could do it.

I paint but it wasn't until this year that I had my first art show & sold a painting! Didn't expect to sell anything.

I learned to play guitar & have written 200 songs in the past few years, some of which actually don't suck! Tee hee. I sing at a local bar & ended up on the front page of the local paper a couple of weeks ago (I totally wasn't expecting that! A big photo front & center! I'm a minor celebrity! That was one of the happiest days of my life!)

I met the man of my dreams. Wasn't even looking for him & he found me. Better than I could have imagined.

I took the first step toward my dreams & my dreams have started to come true. Still a long way to go, but it's a good start....
