What do you think of my poem/prose?

When a drop of blood falls in the river, it's piercing deep red colour will live in the current for a few minutes before fading into the deep, mighty, non stopping waters. It will be forgoten. Only a few will remember that one drop of blood. Most people will just see it as another death, and await the next one to fall, and be forgotten the next day.

It begins as if it were a story instead of a poem, so as a poem I find it bland and uninteresting. But as a prose it is well written.
