The best fountain pens in the world?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the ratings are for fountain pens. I would like to get one for my boyfriend for christmas, looking to spend about ⣱00 - ⣲50 (I know that won't get me a Mont Blanc...) I would like one that uses cartridges (sorry to the purist out there), for convience. Any ideas?

As a Fountain pen collector, I can tell you that ⣲50, will buy you a good pen, you could choose from various makes such as Waterman, Parker, Conway Stewart, either new,or you could invest in a Vintage Pen, depending on the type of writing you want to do, and the nib you will need, there are some very nice pens out there and it is a gift that looked after properly will last a lifetime. You could get a Solid Silver Parker Sonnet for less than ⣲00.00, this will take cartridges or a Piston filler which is normally supplied with the pen, there are so many to choose from,look on Ebay to give you an idea of the prices that they go for, it is easy to spend more than you need if you don't research first!.
