Question:

I am a high school English teacher looking for a new career in Chicago area. Any suggestions?

I am a creative and motivated teacher who is simply burned out with my job. I would love to work for a publisher or in the arts/entertainment industries. I want to love my job again and look forward to going to work each day. I am moving to Chicago very soon and need some ideas for how to look for new career opportunities. I am very unfamiliar with the resources available to me in Chicago. How marketable am I? What are some jobs that would allow me to do the transition from classroom to something else? I love working with people of all ages and am very outgoing and fun. Music and books are my passions.

I do not livr in the USA but in the country that I live in
there are many (mostly) female teachers who feel like
you. I met quite a lot of them in a school for travel agents (we need a liecence to work as travel agents). This is a profession
where you meet lots of people, advise them about their holidays and it seems to be fun.

You did not specify how old you are but I suggest you go first of all and read some sites and make some phone calls:

I am sure you will find some good advice in one of these sites.
I would also Google for Chicago job opportunities . here is what I found
