Are the regular permanent Sanford Sharpie markers acid free?

i work in a small staionery and art store, and someone asked me the other day, and i couldnt find the answer any were! im assuming they are not!

Just wanted to know if the ink is acid free, i sell micron pens, and they say they are! thanks in adavnced

I think your customer meant 'would they work with acid-free products' or maybe damage them. You need to find a working definition for this term for your use and see if you can get the answer you need.

If the person is talking about storage, papers and archival items, then you need to ask the people at Sharpie through their Feedback Forum or the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) to see if you can get the best answer possible. To my knowledge, acid-free means there are some acids used in the creation of the product that won't transfer or break down something else, like certain art or photographs.

Ask them; they can give you an exact answer more-so that I can. But if you get this bit of knowledge, post it here as your response so everyone will know.
