Question:

Can you please edit this for me?

The morning of September 11th also is very clear in my memory. When my alarm radio went off, the D.J. was saying that a plane had hit the WTC. I turned on the news just in time to see the second tower get hit. I got sick to my stomach. I just kept searching for answers trying to understand what was happening.

Around 10am I had to leave for work, I had the radio on listing to the coverage coming for New York. I remember constantly looking to the sky for planes. I was scared, this is not supposed to happen. This is America, You see things like this happen in the middle east but no here. I was worried about my safety and the safety of my family. That was something I never thought I would have to worry about being an American.

Then just when I thought it was over , A plane hit the Pentagon. The Pentagon??? Are you kidding me? The head of the United States Department of Defense! The strongest military in the world was just slapped in the face and we had no idea who did it.I started to get very mad and my fear turned to anger. I wanted to get back at who ever did this.

In the following days,I started to see all the people who were coming to help in the recovery. I saw all the reports of the fire fighters and police who lost their lives to save others. People we donating time and money to help strangers.I saw the entire country come together and focus on helping the victims of 9/11.The horrible events of September 11th were an emotional roller coaster for us all. I was most overwhelmed by then love the American people showed for each other in the months after the attack. It made me realize that no matter what happens, no matter how horrible if people stick together love can transcend all.
