Question:
How can I knit easily?
I'm REALLY in the mood to knit, but all I know how to do is finger weave, which only produces a lousy thin loose scarf thing. I have no needles and no weaves, but I want to try to make something else. ANYTHING else! And websites or directions? Or should I just go and buy some tool?

Knitting is fun!
The first stitches of your project are created by casting on. The rest of the stitches are based on two simple stitches called knit stitch and purl stitch.
The knittinghelp website (http://www.knittinghelp.com) has wonderful videos that are not only clear but also FREE! I actually learned knitting by watching these videos; it is not hard at all. Also, lionbrand.com has a downloadable PDF document that teaches knitting!
The needles and other materials you would need depend on the project you choose, and are always mentioned at the beginning of any pattern.
Also, there are a lot of brilliant websites that offer free patterns, some of which are categorized according to your skill level, like lionbrand, knitty and berroco.
