to chewychimp: well, its just to some people they'd perceive these two as being different things. as for me personally, i do think its possible to be both at the same time. but i would never choose one over the other. i would never suggest or insist that both are inferior as each other. both are great human qualities for a person to possess

being artistic and creative is a form of intellligence, it takes a lot of intelligence to be artistic and creative, its a different form of intelligence to the traditional one you're referring to re being knowledgeable. and theres no reason why one cant possess both type sof intelligence.
